audible alarm without message in Freelance 6.2

Freelance 6.2 SP1.
On several analog parameters during the short-term alarm signaling by H or L the alarm message appears and immediately disappears, and the audible alarm continues to work. The message is not saved in the event list. The operator can not understand the source of the audible alarm.

Hello sdikarev!

Sound files can be configured for a priority or as part of a HINT configuration for a certain alarm point. How is it in your case?

If configured for a priority it would be done in the Local Message Configuration for an operator station. Here you can also configure if the incoming or outgoing alarm triggers the sound or both.

If a burst of alarms is coming, the belonging sound files are put to a cache and played accordingly. The HORN OFF key (F12) can be used to cancel the current audio file and clear the audion file cache.

But if you have a situation, where a value is floating around an alarm limit and the change exceeds the hysteresis configured for that alarm point (by default 3.0) you will get an alarm coming and going and coming and going all the time. Pressing the HORN OFF key will only temporarily help, because the floating value will again trigger the playing of the sound file with the next coming of that alarm.

The operator would still see that alarm in the alarm list, because it has not been ackowledeged, but it only sees one instance of the alarm.

You need to prevent the signal from floating by using a filter function, or increase the hysteresis for that alarm limit so the floating values stay below the hysteresis.
