Upload two subnets in one OPC server IEC61850

Hi,

I have a system with 4x IEC61850 OPC servers.

On the 4th server im trying to upload two subnets, WA4 and WA5.

Both subnets look OK in CET. But when im uploading it to the functional structure only WA4 appears.

The SCD file is built in IET600. SCD file is attached.

How am i supposed to upload two subnets in one OPC? What is the right workflow?

WA4 include AA1 substation

WA5 incluve RT17 substation

Attached are screen dumps from the system.

Hey Towik,

The problem with the IEC61850 uploader is that it only imports the first substation. To allow the import of multiple substations I recommend to follow these steps:

1. In IET600 create the project with multiple substations

2. Export the SCD file from the project and import into CET

3. Split the IET600 project into two projects, one for each substation

4. Export these two SCD files and import them into 800xA

Alternatively edit the SCD file and remove the first substation. Then re-import the second subnetwork. This will add the second substation to the functional structure.

I've had a look at the SCD file, for me to understand a bit better. For your system there are two physical servers or virtual machines that are redundant? For each of the servers you have 4 OPC server instances as follows?

Instance 1: WA1

Instance 2: WA2

Instance 3: WA3

Instance 4: WA4 & WA5

Best Regards

Christo

Hi,
Yes there are two physical machines that are redundant. And yes, there are four instances as you say.
1: WA1
2: WA2
3: WA3
4: WA4,WA5

We tried you way (the alternative way) on a test system, that resulted in a new OPC intead of a second subnet.
