System Stopped and unabel to start server

It is a standalone system with xA 5.1-0-2 with Compact HMI..When a power failure happened, after restart the system is in disabled condition..Tried Maintanence Stop and Restarted, also by manually trying to start Server in Configuration wizard but to no use.

I have attached log files of COnfig Wizard..Kindly give some suggestion?

If you see the ABBServiceManager.exe process, but not AfwADServer.exe the \OperateITData\ServiceManager\SMData.dat may be corrupted.

Try compressing it with the Send To Compressed Folder feature of Windows (or WinZIP), if it becomes less than 500 bytes, it is likely corrupt.

You must then restore that particular file from a drive image backup taken from the same computer, or restore a complete disk image backup, or restore a Full Backup of Process Portal A.

Verify that network settings are same after power outage, in some cases the system won’t come up if IP address or computer name is different. The hosts file can also cause trouble if it contain wrong info.

Hi Stefan,
By restoring a maintanence backup will it work?

Potentially, yes. If thr damage to the file system was restricted to the OperateITData folder only.

If the power failure caused damage to other locations, eg C:\Windows or C:\Program Files you may need to reinstall third party SW, System 800xA or in severe cases the entire computer.

Hi

Before starting the system, ensure that Autostart System on Windows startup is checked in the System software User Setting dialog of the ConfigurationWizard.

Hope that helps..
