Support for DeviceNet Protocol in AC 800M


Does AC800M controller supports DeviceNet protocol by default?
If yes, Kindly explain.

If no, Advise the possibilty of using some external DeviceNet Adapter for establishing the communication between AC800M and other Devices, which supports DeviceNet protocols.

Also if you have any references/installations for AC800M with DeviceNet, kindly provide the details.

You have the possibility to use the AC500 PLC as a "Gateway" to connect AC800M to Devicenet as below:
1. As a Slave- Using the Fieldbusplug on the AC500(Connection to AC800M via Modbus RS232)
2. As a Master- Using the Devicenet Coupler on the AC500(Connection to AC800M via Modbus RS232)

AC800M in SV 5.1 supports the DeviceNet protocol via a CI873 connected to a LD 800DN linking device.
There is extensive documentation for this setup available on the installation DVD in the "..Released Documents\Control\AC800M" folder.
