Sir! we observed F 35 fault on ABB 355 series , 1.5 KW VFD during equipment start up.

No Maintenance was carried out in VFD panel. As per User Manual, F35 implies wiring error especially when input wire are connected to output terminals. In this case there was no such issue. Equipment was working fine and for some other job it was stopped.

What could be the other reasons for such error? or its a case of Malfunctioning.

As an immediete measure, we have replaced the VFD but want to check on removed VFD? This VFD was in operation on same equipment for past 5 years.

Hi

the fault 35 indicate correctly the wrong connection of the load and input wire, but this could depend also on internal fault in the drive which is referred to as a generic fault.
In every case, to solve the fault try disabling parameter 30.23.

If it does not work, I think you'll have to change the drive

Hope this help you, let us know about the results
