SS832 usage with SD832 redundant 24 VDC supply

Following Document

States on p. 224 Table 46 that one needs two SS832 for redundant SD833, but page 237 Figure 106 shows one SS832 with red. 10A supplies. Which one is correct, resp. What limits forbid to use one SS832 with two SD833 10 A supplies?

Max. output current for SS832 is 10A, it depends on the integrated diodes in it.

You can use both 5A or 10A supply units at the input of SS832: two 5A units (SD832) or two 10A units (SD833). It depends what functionality you need.

If you connect 2 pcs of SD832 (5A) units at the input of SS832, you will have max. 5A at the output of SS832 (in case for example one of the supply units fails)

ok, so you say Table 46 is wrong?
Also compare page 159 Figure 83:
"If the individual power supplies are 5A or lower, only one SS832 is required"

Nothing is wrong in the manual.
In case you use 1 pc of SS832, the max. output current is 10A (fig. 106).
In case you use 2 pcs of SS832 (fig. 107), the max. output current is 20A.
In your case/question, 1 pc of SS832 with 2 pcs of SD832 = max. output current is 5A, below of the limit of SS832. You should connect SS832 as per fig. 106

Look carefully block diagrams fig. 103 and 104 too. It explains the possible usage of SS832. As it is in practice diode unit, it can't "produce" power supply itsef, it depends on what you connect to the inputs of voting unit

I agree with you on the connection possibilities for SD832, however the manual explicitly states you have to use 2xSS832 for SD833, in Table 46, so it is not allowed to connect SD833 as per Figure 106. If the manual is not wrong, your statement about two SD833 on one SS832 is...

Right, may be table 46 is wrong, got what you mean.
In table 52 (and other info provided) for SS832 is written 10A per input, so I don't see the problem to use 2 pcs of SD833 with 1 SS832.
I'm personally using the power supplies with the possibility for parallel operation, without voting units.
