PM573 IP config not possible

Hi

I have just received a new PM573-ETH with a TB511-ETH backplane.

I'm running Automation builder 2.0 (2.0.4.4270)

The CPU does not show up when I do a scan in Automation builder.

I've also set the ip manually from the display, and it does not answer ping.

I've also tried using another computer running automation builder 1.2 but with the same result.

I did a "arp -a" from the comand prompt and the CPU does not show up.

Also did a reset with the "Run"-button and a reset on the IP from the display.

I also have a PM554-ETH that works just fine. Used the same network cable and everything.

Am I missing something or is either the CPU or backplane broken?

Hi Friedrich
you need to observe the catalog number in your TB511.
If you have 1SAP111100R0170 number, you have the OLD type of TB511 and probably this is the cause of your issue.
Otherwise, if you have the 1SAP111100R0270 part number, this is the NEW TB511.

IMHO with OLD base TB511 the cpu can't work correctly.

Read the follow document about the above argument.

Hope this help you

Thank you for that information! Turns out the TB511 was the R0170.
I changed it and everything works like it should now.

Hi

If with other cpu eth your AB give you correct response,

You must consider that your pm573 could be broken...

One other possible cause is that the TB511 version that you have is not compatible with your cpu.

Where can I find info about what versions of the TB511 that are compatible with the PM573? I don't have the PLC at hand until tomorrow.
I also tried changing the power supply just in case. Didn't help.
I also noticed that the network card on the computer I have connected to the PLC doesn't recognize that it's connected to anything (the LED's by the RJ45 connection on the computer).
