Object name search Message Log

Configured a Message Log in IM Server. Configured below aspect an mentioned in the document.

•Alarm and Event List.
•Alarm and Event List Configuration.
•A/E Linked Server Configuration.

The Alarm and Event list is souce is selected as Linked History. It is configured to

Messages currently or online stored in the message log.

When Operator perfrom search by filtering Event time, Search will be very quick. List will show up in 1to 3 secs. After that, when applied filter on object name, for some objects search operation takes too much time appr. 1 to 3 min.

In that time stop search button wont stop search immediately. at times it's not responding. Direct search on object name creates same problem.

Is there any way to optimize performance for search operation.

Currently per day message log consuming around 200MB and approx. 1800000 entries what i am seeing in Node admin structure. I applied informIT filter in Nod admin to filter out required entries into the databse.

Some searches are slow as the event retrieval engine's integration with the System 800xA workplace cannot make use of table indexes as far as you might expect with data stored in a relational database engine like Oracle. I suggest filing a support case to get professional help with optimizing the queries.

Storage filtering only allow for exclusion of select categories of Condition and Simple Events. Tracking Events are always stored. Have you counted/measured the event types ending up in storage?
