I've seen so many Dicarded Alarms and don't know what to do

Hi! I work at ABB Brazil (IAPI) and have problems with Dicarded Alarms in our biggest projetc VALE S11D. I've seen some answers where you mention it (DiscardedAlarm) and I would like to know more about it. What does that mean? What are the points I need to focus on to resolve it? I did not find any manual that explained to me.

Best regards,

Péricles Ribeiro

What is the source OPC AE server?

If 3rd party:

a) have you uploaded the categories?

b) have you enabled ”Create Root Node” to create dummy object below Lost & Found in case SourceName does not match any object?

Do also check attached document.

IEC61850 OPC AE server supplies SourceGUID vendor attribute.

Any event having a SourceGUID as vendor attribute *must* have a corresponding object by that very same GUID in 800xA for the matching to succeed.

I suspect the supplied GUID to be incorrect, or not matching.

Please have a third party OPC AE client connected and check the vendor attribute for validity.

Or, enable the "Events" applog on the Event Collector in service state for IEC61850. The log should contain all that is received and you can easily check if the GUIDs are valid by searching for them with the Plant Explorer's Find Tool. Possibly that log will also say "Discarded" with some additional comment.

If I'm correct, IEC61850 configuration is at fault and need to be corrected.
