PNSM need to be able to remotely execute stuff over DCOM. I assume the node EWS-2 exists and is available over network?

If EWS-2 is not reachable, these messages are natural. Remove all IT Assets and Basic Computer Monitoring objects for nodes that are not existing.

Otherwise, something may be wrong with the service account in EWS-2; eg is it made member of local admin (or domain admin)?

Try accessing EWS-2 remotely from the PNSM server node by eg reading the C$ admin share by executing:

(at PNSM server)

C:\> dir \\EWS-2\C$

The EWS-2 machine is in network. The service account is member of local admin group. I am able to take it remotely.

There is something preventing DCOM from remotely executing on EWS-2. I cannot say what; there are numerous of possible errors, e.g. bad host IP in hosts file, firewall too tight, etc.

Can you check on following firewall rules on PNSM Server (where ABBshadowOPC.exe is running) and Computer ZZZ.

DCOM Configuration: Configuring the Windows Firewall

o Open the Windows start menu

o Select "Settings / Control Panel"

o Select "Windows Firewall"

o Select the "Exceptions" tab

o Click "Add Program"

o Add the following programs:

o ABB Shadoe OPC.exe (Only on PNSM Server Node)

o Microsoft File and Printer sharing

o Select the "Exceptions" tab

o Click "Add Port"

o Set the following preferences:

o Name: "DCOM"

o Port number: "135"

o Select "TCP" radio button

o Click "OK"

Best Regards
