Define alarm for multiple workplaces - 800xA

We would like to implement a common alarm which is valid for all workplaces.

The idea is to establish a common alarm that's manually triggered on-screen (button etc.) in 800xA which triggers an alarm to multiple workplaces.

Anyone who may have an idea to realize said feature?

Whether an alarm is displayed or not in any given workplace is a matter of filtering. Many options exist. Exact solution depends on your existing configuration.

Alarms can be raised from an operator clicking a button, which in turn set an OPC property value that raises an alarm, either in some PLC or as an Alarm Expression/General Property.

Just started to investigate how-to regarding this alarm functionality.

I've tried to define an alarm expression, and the idea is to trigger an alarm using a push button. However, I fail to connect the push button action to the alarm expression. I've tried to follow the 800xA configuration manual on how to define the alarm expression. What I still don't get is how to link said expression to the push button action (simply put: how do I make the push button trigger the alarm expression)?

It may still be other aspects I have overlooked. As you probably guess, this is totally unknown territory for me.

To elaborate on my "progress", I've attached some pictures. It's just the expression builder from PG" for the push button, and a test alarm expression and how it's configured.

Any input is appreciated!
