CI868 and ABB REF relays IEC61850

Dear All,

I have redundant CI 868 to get data from ABB protection relays REF630 and RET630 relays. I am facing two type of issues

CASE-1. Some groups in IED have warning because some tags in a channel are not communicating.

CASE-2. All groups in an IED have fault because all tags in all channels are not communicating.

Pictures attached for more information. Please advise way forward.

BR,

Rizwan

Hello,

1.can you please check whether q parameter is configured for all Signals which causes error or warnings.. q is a mandatory parammeter for all signals.

2. if q is present in the signal check with wireshark whether signals coming from IED to CI868.

Regards,

Chanth

Chanth, I investigated a bit more and found that all IED has there tag number as there technical key but the ones that are not communicating have completely different technical key than their tag number. Could this be a possible reason?

CASE-1. Some groups in IED have warning because some tags in a channel are not communicating.

- MV.GGIO.1 to 4 and MMXU.A (Current) signals are in different dataset and GCB. If yes, Check the content of dataset and GCB parameters especially like APP ID, Mac ID, Conf Rev.

CASE-2. All groups in an IED have fault because all tags in all channels are not communicating.

- Check the content of dataset and GCB parameters especially like APP ID, Mac ID, Conf Rev.

Pls cross check the above details in the retrieved SCD file from CI868 card and CID file from IED.

I have same understanding about case 1.
Case 2, I investigated a bit more and found that all IED has there tag number as there technical key but the ones that are not communicating have completely different technical key than their tag number. Could this be a possible reason? How to retrieve CID file I only have PCM600, don't have IET software.

Can you please further tell how can I change technical key? Will it affect operation of relay? Will it have any affect on GOOSE network?
