ABB800M to Phoenix Contact Visu+ SCADA communication

Our customer has an AC800M ABB PLC controller using Citec Scada (xp version). Now we upgrade to Phoenix Contact Visu+ Scada, but we cannot communicate with the Visu+ due to communication protocol where the ABB800M is using MMS server.
Is there a way we can change the Com setting of ABB800M com protocol to be compatible with the Phoenix Contact Visu+?

Thank you

Hi WvanWees,
Is there a setting in the PLC that we can change or select the IEC61850MMS Client to OPC server? can you provide me example on how to do it?

Thanks so much

The AC800m opc server "speaks" mms to the controller and provides opc DA and AE towards opc clients. Instal on the pc where you have control builder and setup with ip adres of controller and you are good to go.

yes this is true, but what we intend to do is how to communicate with the Phoenix Contact Visu+ SCADA..since there is no mms available driver in the Visu+

The Phoenix contact scada has an ooc client which can connect to the AC800M opc server. How to that is nothing for this forum as it has nothing to do with the ABB products.

@WvanWees: Why is this not related to ABB products? This customer has an ABB AC800M Controller and wants to connect it to his SCADA system which he is upgrading for security reasons.

As I understand through the comments above the end question is how to configure the phoenix scada system.

In addition to the previous answer, with just a few steps this is possible:

1. Install the ABB OPC server on the SCADA system

2. Connect to the controller

3. The OPC server needs some files, you can find them in your Control Builder project folder.

4. Connect the Phoenix Contact Visu+ Scada OPC client to the ABB server.

Good luck!
