800xA Printers

Curious as to what kind of printers that customers are using for their 800xA systems?

Network connection vs. USB connection to a server

Color printer for graphics vs. line printer for alarms

I looked through the plethora of 800xA documentation and could not find anything related to this.

Answers

Most of the installations I have worked with use a network printer. You want operators/engineers to be able to print from any node.

Usually alarm line printers are rare. However the color graphics printers are almost always in use.

I have seen over the years that printer use is on decline and customers prefer online reports and screen shots.
